Passionately spearheaded by co-founders Katherine Hickmott & Daniel Bell, KD Theatre Productions has built a strong reputation since its formation in 2013 and now presents a variety of high-quality, innovative and classy productions at venues across the UK.
Christmas is the busiest time of year for KD Theatre Productions, and pantomime forms a large part of the company’s work, with KD providing spectacular, fresh and exciting festive productions at The Maltings (Ely), Harlow Playhouse (Essex), Saffron Hall (Essex), The Atkinson (Southport) and The Lighthouse Theatre (Kettering).
Building the next generation of theatregoers is at the heart of the company, which is why KD also cater for the younger market, providing children’s Santa Shows in Studio Venues across the UK, which are highly interactive, encouraging younger families to come to the theatre. Alongside these productions, KD also provides theatrical services for other companies and theatres, including production and script hires.
Touring family theatre has become a major part of the companies’ annual calendar with productions of ‘The Wizard Of Oz’, ‘Treasure Island’,’The Wind In The Willows’, ‘Alice In Wonderland’, ‘Peter Pan’ and ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ touring venues and open-air spaces across the UK during Spring, Summer and Autumn holidays over the past few years.
KD Theatre Productions works with creatives, actors and production staff at the top of their game to ensure they provide the most magical and exhilarating experiences for all their audiences.
Alongside their producing work, Katherine & Daniel are extremely passionate about providing quality, affordable and professional performing arts training for young people and manage extremely popular academies under the banner of ‘KD Academy’, training over 200 enthusiastic young people on a weekly basis.
